Precision NanoSystems Inc. (PNI), a biotechnology company dedicated to helping advance innovative nanotechnology solutions for the molecular understanding and treatment of disease, welcomes industry veteran Ana-Paula Fernandes as Vice President of Sales effective May 2, 2016. Fernandes will oversee the global sales team and sales operations for PNI’s innovative NanoAssemblr™ platform as well as its line of SUB9KITS™. She also will help guide new product introduction strategy around the globe.

Before being named vice president at PNI, Fernandes was the head of sales in North America for RAININ Instrument, a Mettler-Toledo Company. In this role she provided sales, service and marketing leadership for their manual liquid handling business.

Prior to joining RAININ, Fernandes served as an integration lead and senior sales manager at Applied Biosystems (now Life Technologies). Fernandes first entered the life sciences industry in Brazil working with distributors such as Cybertécnica. She then went on to hold several positions in the areas of product, marketing and sales over the course of her career. Fernandes holds a bachelor’s degrees in business administration from Universidade Paulista and an MBA from Fundação Getulio Vargas, both in Brazil.
